We are happy to inform you that, on 7th February 2025, C/E Dolphy Pious Pinto, Vice Principal of Mangalore Marine College, delivered an insightful guest lecture to B. Tech final-year students at our college. He emphasized the critical importance of obtaining the necessary certifications for engine room management. He provided a detailed checklist of actions to be taken 24 hours before the first departure and stressed taking stringent precautions during bad weather and outlined essential emergency measures to ensure safety. The lecture also covered DG fitness requirements and the significance of regular checking and maintenance of various engine room components. The session concluded with an engaging interactive Q&A, allowing students to clarify their doubts and gain deeper insights into practical marine engineering.
