On 9th January 2025, the Nautical Science Association organized the second volume of the Maritime Dialogue, held in the Chart room. The theme of the session was Challenges Faced by Cadets While Joining Their First Ship. The Chief guest of the event are Captain Sunil Balagopal and Second Officer Mr. Vivek Mahendran . Cadets from various batches actively participated, with insightful questions posed by Jagdeep (BSc-24), Snehal Sharma , Aman Gupta (BSc-23), Sumit Kumar and Pappu Murali (BSc-22). Second Officer Mr. Vivek Mahendran addressed their concerns, providing valuable guidance to strengthen their readiness for their maiden voyage. Additionally, Captain Sunil Balagopal shared his wisdom, emphasizing the essential qualities required for cadets and how a captain should conduct themselves onboard. The session proved to be a highly informative and an encouraging platform for aspiring mariners.
